How does one define Living in the Moment?

Welcome to Rendering Reality!

Living life in the moment is not easy these days. But I would like to share a secret with you.

With advances in technology, image capture has been revolutionized. Photography helps you live in the moment. And, of course, you can re-live the moment every time you view the images that you create.

But here's the secret:

At any time during your day, take a photograph of something that you find interesting. But instead of just snapping away, think about the tone, texture, and color of the scene. Now challenge yourself to express those qualities in your image. Each and every scene contains millions of tones, subtle shades, and shadows that form a three dimensional object.

For me, as I pause to consider the scene, I take note of as many nuances as possible. The temperature, the quality of the light, the sounds, the location and how it affects its surroundings.
Then, I interpret my perception through rendering. Rendering means that I either create an image that truly represents the tones of the original scene, or I shift them to communicate my impressions. Please try this and see for yourself. You will be able to communicate in ways that words cannot explain.

I will use this forum to continue my dialog, my travels, and my life experiences so that I can share it all with you.

Happy Rendering!
