Artist bio

It is a dynamic interaction when ever Dutch painter, Tali Farchi vd. Wouden and painter, Royce Deans from the USA are working together. Their individual cultures and experiences mix so that their unique way of working results in new and informed works of art. A common thread that runs through their work, is how they incorporate music and it’s overriding influence and inspiration.

The duo has been working together since 2006 on multi media, and multi disciplined projects including Mo(ve)ment, The Mo(ve)ment Effect and Art Without Boundaries. Early in 2010 they actively started developing The Colorboration Project, since that time they have presented similar projects in Zwolle, The Netherlands; Tel Aviv, Israel and Chicago. The Colorboration Project has been presented to more than 2000 people.

About the work
Title: Trillium
Art form: 2-D
Medium: textiles
Year created: 2011
Description of work: My "Trillium" landscape art quilt is a walk in Northern Michigan woods in the spring time. The ground is a carpet of hand embroidierd silk ribbon white trillium flowers that represent spring and a new beginning. The trillium flowers in the foreground lead the viewer into the woods with majestic trees giving the scene strength and power. I combine my love of textiles and nature to create my landscape art quilts. I like the warm vivid colors and tactile experience that fabrics give my art work.
